What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. They help the site remember things between visits, and are used across almost every website in one form or another. This page explains which ones this site uses, and how you can control them.
What this site currently uses
At the time of writing, this site keeps things simple: there are no analytics, advertising or social media tracking cookies running. The only cookies in use are strictly necessary ones set by WordPress itself, mainly for logging in to manage the site — these do not affect visitors browsing the site normally.
Strictly necessary
Set by WordPress to keep the site secure and, for the site owner, to stay logged in. These cannot be switched off, as the site would not work properly without them.
Analytics (not in use)
We do not currently use Google Analytics or similar tools. If we add one in future, we will update this page and ask for your consent first, where required.
Shop & checkout (coming soon)
Once the online shop opens, functional cookies will be needed for the shopping basket and checkout to work. This page will be updated when that happens.
Managing cookies
Because this site does not currently use any optional cookies, there is nothing you need to opt out of. If that changes, you will see a cookie notice when you visit, and you can always control or delete cookies through your browser’s settings — every browser handles this slightly differently, so check your browser’s help pages (aboutcookies.org is a good independent guide). Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site working correctly.
Updates to this policy
We will update this page whenever the cookies used on the site change — for example if analytics or the online shop are added. The “last updated” date at the top always reflects the most recent version.
